Hello, I’m Anirudh!
I am a Master’s student in Computer Science at Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University (NYU), with a keen interest in Machine Learning and Software Development, with a cumulative GPA of 4.0/4.0.
I have a background in Mathematics (INMO Awardee), Statistics and Programming. I completed my undergraduate degree (B.Tech) at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK), in the Electrical Engineering Department in 2021. My professional journey reflects a strong commitment to research, encompassing Machine Learning, Big Data Analysis, and Software Development.
My experience spans both academic and industrial domains. My research interests lie within the field of Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing, with prior experience in enhancing the efficiency of voice assistants at Samsung Research.
Apart from my academic interests, I love to play football, journal, read novels, and keep up with current developments around the world.
Background
Software Engineer @ Samsung Research
Prior to joining NYU Courant, I worked at Samsung Research, where I was a key member of the Voice Intelligence team. Our primary focus was on developing an innovative few-shot learning classification framework to assess the performance of Bixby Voice Assistant. We employed various data augmentation techniques and cutting-edge attention models to classify user sessions effectively.
One of our notable achievements was the engineering of a unified attention model. This model significantly enhanced the classification of user sessions across diverse Bixby Voice Assistant applications, leading to a remarkable reduction in processing time by over 97%.
Intern @ Samsung Research
During my internship at Samsung Research, I played a vital role in enhancing the functionality of the Bixby Voice Assistant as part of the Voice Intelligence team. I focused on training and optimizing various recommendation models to elevate the overall performance.
My tasks involved conducting thorough benchmarking to evaluate the efficiency of classification models within the Bixby Voice Assistant recommendation system. Recognizing my contributions during the internship, I was awarded a full-time job offer.
Electrical Engineering Undergrad @ IIT Kanpur
My academic journey at IIT Kanpur involved comprehensive coursework covering Control Theory, Microelectronics, Circuits, and other fundamental subjects. In addition to these, I delved into elective courses such as Algorithms, Data Structures, Machine Learning, Game Theory, and Micro/Macroeconomics amongst others.
As a student guide in the Counselling Service, I actively contributed to the smooth integration of around 900 incoming students during Orientation 2018, organizing workshops and sessions for their seamless acclimatization to campus surroundings. Additionally, I provided emotional and informative assistance to six first-year students, ensuring their smooth transition to college life.
In my capacity as the Secretary of the Electronics Club, I delivered lectures on IoT, Communication, and Logic Circuits. Furthermore, me and my team of 20 members conducted electronics events for the inter-hall technical competition TAKNEEK’18.
